Bug Repellent:
Natural bug repellents are safe & do not use harmful chemicals
Bugs can cause:
• Skin irritation
• Diseases like malaria or dengue
Bug repellent using lavender, lemon & eucalyptus oils:
Lavender, lemon & eucalyptus oils
Confuse bugs with their scent
1. Take 20 ml of extra virgin olive oil as the base liquid in a glass
spray bottle
2. Add to it 10 drops of lavender essential oil
3. Also add 5 drops of lemon eucalyptus essential oil
4. Close the bottle & shake well to mix the ingredients
You can apply this on exposed skin whenever needed. Make sure to store the bottle in a cool dry place. Lavender and lemon eucalyptus essential oils not only confuse bugs with their scent but also make us smell great!
Bug repellent using lavender leaves, lemon grass powder & mint powder:
1. Take 1 tbsp of dried lavender leaves in a vessel
2. Add 1 tbsp of dried lemon grass powder to it
3. Also add 1 tbsp mint powder
4. Then add 2 dried cloves
5. Now add to this, 1 cup of water
6. Bring this mixture to a boil.
7. Once done, switch off the flame, cover the vessel and let the
mixture cool
8. Once cool, strain the mixture and pour it into a spray bottle.
9. Finally, add 1 tbsp vanilla extract to it
10. You can store this for about 1 week in the refrigerator
Remember to shake the bottle well before spraying on exposed areas of the body
Tips:
• Perform a patch test before use
• Avoid contact with eyes, mouth or open wounds
• Avoid going out into the sun immediately after applying these
• Consult a doctor before using on pregnant women &children
